Question
Hi again,

This is my code. Does it look wrong to you? The messages display, but :SZBXUNI.SZBXUNI_FIELD1 does not populate with 9876533;

Maybe it's something in the Ellucian software we are running.
It could not possibly be my code! :)

Thanks again.

BEGIN

SELECT 12345
  INTO :SZBXUNI.SZBXUNI_FIELD1
  FROM DUAL;

 IF SQLCODE = 0 THEN
    MESSAGE ('Code is running from ON-SELECT at the Form Level');
 END IF;

 :SZBXUNI.SZBXUNI_FIELD1 := 9876533;

EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
         MESSAGE ('ON-SELECT at the Form Level');
         RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
END;

Answer
Hello Liz,

Sorry for the late reply.

I have not worked on Forms for a long time now. But I will try.

I am assuming that SZBXUNI is a block?

Try to comment the statement  :SZBXUNI.SZBXUNI_FIELD1 := 9876533;
and then run form. Check whether you see 12345 atleast.

Is the field length of field1 >= 7? what is the type of field - number or varchar. If varchar, then assign '9876533'.

Hope this helps.
