Oral Surgery/wisdom tooth removal

My daughter blew her nose after having all four wisdom teeth extracted (no one told her not to) and the left side of her face blew up. They told her it is air but no one tells her how long it will stay there, or if it will ever subside. Will the air assimilate back into her system or will she have an air pocket caught in her face forever?
