Question
Hello I went to a oral surgeon for wisdom teeth removal. He quoted me a price of $3400 dollars for all 4 wisdom teeth with IV sedation. I think this is to much and I have a feeling he is charging to much, are my suspicions correct or is this the going rate?

Answer
Hi Randy,

The quoted fee is about right. However, Oral surgeons go by how difficult the extraction is. For example an erupted wisdom tooth has a different code and price than a full bony impacted tooth. This is the fee I would charge for 4 wisdom teeth that are full bony impacted. IV sedation is around $350-$400.

Good luck.

Oral Surgery
