I also got the left temple headache on the side of my surgery.  It is related to the surgery as  i also never get headaches.  I will follow the directions above to hopefully get rid of it as it is very sharp.  My mouth and jowel areswollen, I am on clindamycin, hope that will get rid of it.  Thanks for all this input.

Hi I just had gum surgery and on my 4th day I started feeling the same headache you described the pain is on my left side running up my face hitting the temple and giving me a horrible headache. I never ever get headaches either I'm seeing my surgeon in a couple days so we'll see what he says, just wondering did the pain eventually go away for you?

This could be neurological.  Go to see a Dystonia Specialist.  I experienced the same pain from childhood and was mis-diagnosed and treated as a TMJ patient.  Two jaw surgeries only made the pain worse until a doctor finally said, "this pain in your face and temple is not TMJ".  He sent me to a neuro and I have been getting facial injections that cut the pain tremendously until last week when I had to have a reconstructive jaw surgery to try and repair damage from first two surgeries.  Dystonia keeps my muscles tight and in spasm, especially around my temples.  I know the pain you are going through and no one understands it unless they have been there.  Gang in there, my prayers are with you.......
