Question Hey there! My two friends and I are travelling from San Francisco to Seattle this summer to visit friends. We have the whole Washington part of our trip planned, but nothing in Oregon. We don't have a very long time, we leave San Francisco on a Monday and are supposed to be meeting up with friends at Olympic National Park late Friday evening. There are lots of things we wanted to see, but none of us know enough about Oregon to find out how to do it exactly. We know for certain we want to see Crater Lake, one of my friends is desperate to see the Oregon Caves, and we hoped to drive up the coast if at all possible. We also heard some wonderful stories about hiking by the Columbia River. We have a pretty tight budget, so we are trying to camp out as much as possible. My question is: is it possible to visit all those places in that amount of time, and stay on a tight budget during the trip? Thanks in advance.
Answer Hi Nickolas,
Another strong suggestion....e-mail to www.traveloregon.com and ask for whatever maps/booklets you'd like..you'll be in the southern area, could also see for yourself some of the attractions you want to see..ie;Caves,Crater Lake,Gorge.
Am still working on your map, question however, where are you meeting your friends in the Olympics? You could drive the coastal route up Oregon, far more scenic than the Wa. coast, however,as I mentioned a long trip...I just need to get you to the right side of the Oylmpics....
How fast do you drive? How "camping" are you going? Tent? RV?
Will wait for your answer,if you'd like, you can e-me @ Adiebob@aol.com,please put Oregon Trip in subjet matter...my Spam meter may chuck you out otherwise...(not that it works well!)
Hope you're having a great Sunday...wish I was in San Fran now, been awhile,I love your city!
