Question
good morning Adrienne,

this question really revolves around your knowledge of the health industry in Portland and of Oregon. I have health challenges and I have been told to move to where there is low humidity, i.e.: Arizona or New Mexico. Now after living in Portland for 6 years and Corvallis for another couple in the 90's my heart really longs to return to Oregon but after extensive Internet searching I can not seem to find anywhere in Oregon that has low humidity levels, even the high desert areas it seems. Do you have any information as to where in Oregon the humidity levels are low for the rainy season, you know that 6 or 7 months out of the year that make Oregon simply the most beautiful state there is. Extra question, what is the Oregon Message Board and how does one find and read it?

thanks,,,

Bruce

Answer
Bruce,
Sorry to hear about your health.
I think you're basically stuck w/the lower desert states. Checked weather stations yesterday around state,(a sunny early morning check), and found even the high desert, eastern Or.,and southerm Or. all way up. The lowest I found was Ontario w/65%!
As opposed to Sedona,Flagstaff,Phoenix,Tucson,Jerome...Az. none above 25%,w/Phoenix coming in at 16%.Despite the God awful heat.
Have never been to New Mex.but have been to Az. Flagstaff the place I'd go,or Jerome.Seems the pollution of Phoenix would about kill anyone!
I'd check back w/AllExperts and ask one of the docs specifically to define a low humidity area.If pollution plays a part and heat.
Then go from there.I'm sure you can find somewhere decent, albeit, not Oregon.

I have never looked at Or. message board, but if I can figure out the link will forward it.
You might want to do a general Net search for Respiratory Message Boards, perhaps others can share their experiences and where they've gone for relief?

Wishing you well....
Adrienne
