Organic Gardens - noodle water on garden

Expert: Mack Jean - 9/8/2009

Question
Can i put cooked noodle's water onto my garden. Will it help any or just be like water?

Answer
Dear Shelly:

If you cooked the noodles in WATER ONLY without added salt, vinegar, or other additives; then the leftover water would likely be safe for watering your garden. The leftover water will contain various minerals and starches leached from the noodles and should provide trace nutrients to the garden plants.

Sincerely,

Mack Jean
