Organizing Your Home & Workspace - Finding places

Question
I just moved to a new city when I got a new job. I work for a really small company so friends are limited right now and well I only know how to get to a pizza restaurant, the mall, and work, and of course to my apartment. I am not sure what else is in the area. I have a cell phone so I won't be hooking up with a land line phone anytime soon. How can I go about getting a phone book so I can get better organized in my new life at my new job and new place?

Answer
Hi Lyssa;
Congratulations on your new move!

You can start by contacting the telephone company in your area, they are usually pretty good about giving telephone books to new people.

Another suggestions is to go to the area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center. there are tons of information there that will assist you.

Last, you have a computer so you can easily get all of the information that you want by keyword. City, state,telephone, business pages (or yellow pages); everything is available to you and that way you can pick and choose the business that is in your area and print it out and have your own 'local' book. I do this when I am going to a new city and need information on places near my motel and it works great!
Enjoy your new surroundings and Happy Organizing!
