Orthodox Judaism/laser hair removal

Question
Is laser hair removal halachically permissible for Jewish men?  I have always been very self-conscious because of my body hair and would like to undergo the procedure so I can be more comfortable being intimate with my future spouse.

Answer
Jason,
I know of no ruling of halakhah which prohibits Jewish men or women from undergoing hair removal. "Anything which is not prohibited is permitted". Cosmetic surgery, for the purpose of increasing one's quality of life, so long as it does not mutilate our bodies is permitted (vanity, of course, withstanding). As I suspect excessive hair removal would likewise increase the happiness of your wife and home, it is permitted. Other than avoiding mutilation, my only other concern would be if this effects your facial hair or sideburns, under which situation, you will need to discuss the procedure with a qualified posik in person. All the best. Shalom!
