Orthodox Judaism/Shabbos question

Question
My father is in the hospital. Would I be breaking religious law if I drove to the hospital on a saturday to see him? Thank you

Answer
According to Jewish law one is not allowed to drive on Saturday. Is there a 'Bikur Cholim' organization in your area? They may be able to find a location near the hospital where you can stay over the weekend so you can walk easily to the hospital.
Best wishes for a quick and easy recovery.
Good Shabbos,

Expertise

I can answer any questions about orthodox Judaism, especially the laws that relate to women. No question too big or small, and never be embarrassed to ask - it's the only way you'll find out!

Experience

I am an orthodox Jewish woman, but I have had my questions, and always seek answers, so I have a lot of experience in all areas. If I don't know the answer, I'll ask someone who does.
