Question
Hi Asha,

Many thanks – it’s becoming much easier now. As for the man who wrote this, well, the truth is that life isn’t easy in any foreign country, or in one’s own for that matter!

Here’s the whole sentence.
Are the first words “bishtar-e-mava:ge’” i.e. with ezafe, please?

بیشتر مواقع حقِ ما را پایمال می‌کردند و من نمی‌توانستم حق‌ام را بگیرم و در واقع در کار به نوعی از خانواده‌ام سؤاستفاده می‌کردند

Is حق‌ام correct? Since the word is حق shouldn't it be حقم  when you add “my”?

This time I think I understand the basic structure of the sentence:
“Most of the time they trampled on our rights and I couldn't obtain my rights and … they took unfair advantage of my family.”

Do you agree with my translation? Please could you explain the following:

در واقع در کار به نوعی

All the best,

Simon

PS I'm beginning to get the feeling that the life story is not written in very good Persian, but I may be completely wrong...

Answer
Hi Simon;
Your translation is correct. My right is written as: حقم .
در واقع در کار به نوعی: In fact in working .... . In this phrase there is an error based on  Persian litrature. در واقع means "infact". and به نوعی here means "in fact" too. The witer means that People dealed fairly apparently but realy they acted unfairly.

Respects
