Question
Hi Asha,

Please could you help me a bit more with the text I asked you about the time before last? I can't make head or tail of the following bit:

. بیشتر مواقع حقِ ما را پایمال می‌کردند

Ezafes are very difficult for me, so please tell me if there are any ezafes, e.g. between the first two words, perhaps?

I am very happy to give you my email address:
simonfittonbrown@hotmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best,

Simon

PS Are there any simple biographical-type texts in Persian on the Internet which you could recommend, please?

Answer
Hi Simon
Thanks for giving me your email address.
I remember the text you wrote to me. It was about a forign man who imgrated to Iran and had hard life. The translation of the phrase you mentiond about it in your letter is: "most of the time they treaded on the rights of us" It means that Iranian people didn't attention to that person's rights.
Ezafes comes between two words that we want to connect. Most of the time they act like "of" in English Language. For example "medaad -e- man" (my pencile), " dar -e- otaagh" ( the door of the room), " ketaab -e- khoob" ( the good book) , .... In these examples you can see two words have realationship to each other, one add to the other. When we add one word to other as an adjective or a noun in the genitive case we use "-e-" between two words.
I will search for the texts you want on Internet and will send to you.

All the best
Asha
