Could You please tell me, how Magh Ganesha-jayanti is celebrated at home and at temples in Maharashtra?
I suppose, all world already knows how Vinayaka-chaturti festival is celebrated in Bhadra-month (august-september), but there is very little information or nothing about Ganesha-jayanthi in Magha-month (january-february). It fall on 10 february in this year 2008.

Answer There is no major difference in celebrating the ganesha jayanti in bhadra month (august - september) and Magha month (january - february). Only the difference is most of the people celebrated it in bhadra month. And there is vary less people who celebrates it in magha month
