Well, I don't have any tattoo, but your choice would not discourage me helping you! :-)
Chico Science's phrase is
"A esperança é quando a dor presente nos faz tentar outra vez".
I think there will be no loss in the mail, but just in case: the only foreign signs to you are the cedilla under "c" in esperança and the accute on "e".
