Experience I am an Iranian and have studied general history about Iran. I am absolutely familiar with the culture and language of my own country.
Education/Credentials My education is strengthened about civil engineering.
Here in Turkey, when someone says, “Hoş geldin” (= welcome, based on the Persian خوش آمدید), the answer is “Hoş geldin”, which translates literally into Persian as خوش یافتیم.
What do you say in Persian as a polite answer to خوش آمدید?
All the best, and many thanks,
Simon
Answer Hi Simon,
There are 'a lot of' responses to such phrases in Persian which none of them is limited to any specific sentence. Also there are 'a few' LITERAL responses which no longer are used in Modern & Standard Persian. In COMMON use, there is no answer to "خوش آمدید" specifically for it. But it does NOT mean that after someone said "خوش آمدید", you must be silent!
I'm giving you a number of answers you can say after someone thanks, respects or greets you in general.
You can use almost any of these phrases also in reply to "خوش آمدید". The four seprated examples are used in either scoundrel or very freindly relationships (men).
