are there any kasres here? I must say I don't understand the grammar/sense of this sentence at all well.
Unless… could it be that کاری is a kind of fill in word, which later is substituted by خیسم. But what is خیسم? How is it pronounced?

/be shukhi kari kardan/
کاری کردن means do something. به شوخی کاری کردن means do something in a way you mentioned and exampled.
به شوخی خیسم کرد means به شوخی خیسام کرد.
Remember, the verb کردن is a verb called فعل اسنادی. It is not brought with any objects (مفعول) while it requires مسند instead. e.g. او پدرم را آگاه کرد.
پدرم is مفعول.
But آگاه is مسند.
He made my father 'informed'.
In Persian, there is a strange and beautiful grammar. That is if the object is a pronoun (e.g. من، تو، او، etc.), it can change its form and come after the مسند.
او من را آگاه کرد for example, the object here is من. It can change its form to ام and come after مسند which is آگاه here. Then the sentence becomes او آگاهام کرد or او آگاهم کرد.
آن را بدتر نکن will become بدترش نکن.
من turns into ام
تو turns into ات
او turns into اش
ما turns into مان
شما turns into تان
ایشان turns into شان
