Question Dear Mojtaba,
What is the most common expression used to translate the following, please?
1. "to play a trick on someone" (e.g. to put a plastic bottle of water on top of a door so that when he opens it the water falls on his head)
2. "to tell a joke to someone" (i.e. a story with a funny ending)
All the best, and many thanks,
Simon
Answer Hi simon,
1.
If you mean deceiving someone (of course your example doesn't concern with deceiving), it is said:
But if you mean your example, it is said:
2.
Telling a joke is said:
Hope this helps.
With Best Regards, Mojtaba Parsa
