no matter what i do, i can not play online on the game zone, any suggestions? I have the patch, just not sure if it is virus protection or firewall or what. any help would be great.

Unfortunately, I believe Microsoft's Game Zone no longer supporting Jack Nicklaus 6 for on-line play. It is being supported though by Gamespy now. Here is a link if you want to sign up there:
