AboutClyde Johnny Jr Expertise I can answer most questions about Age of Empires 2 and 3 as well as their expansions. I am also knowledgeable in Empire Earth 1 and 2, Civilization 3 and 4 and Rise of Nations.
Experience I have hosted LAN parties that contained a mix of these games over the past 6 years. I feel that I possess a vast knowledge of these games.

I;m wondering if there's any point in buying the expansions(age of mythology or age of empires III). I've heard that, in most cases, strategy games are pretty bad and bug-written in the first version, reasonably good with their 2nd version, and usually produce a really bad 3rd version(eg:- Paradox's Europa Universalis series). Do you like the later entries at all?
Answer The expansion pack to AoE2 adds several more useful items that the base game doesn't have. More improvements and several new units and automations. One automation is that you can queue farms to be built when you couldn't before. AoE3's expansions add many features as well. More cards for the decks and different bonuses. The only disadvantage to AoE3 Asian Dynasties is that there are few custom maps that have been made for it.
