PC hardware--CPU & Motherboard & RAM/BIOS upgrade

Question
HP's BIOS upgrade utility for ze1210 notebook requires a floppy drive, which the laptop does not have. The utility builds a bootable floppy with scripts that point to drive 'A'.      Is there a way to burn a floppy image onto a bootable CD and also change the drive letter assigned to the CD? Or are there other approaches? I've tried editing the scripts, but when run in DOS they do not pickup the system variables used in the scripts.
[System is Win XP Home Edition; hard drive; USB; CD/DVD]

Thanks in advance.

Answer
You can make a bootable cd or make your usb drive bootable. Basicly what the program needs is to be in DOS mode to modify the BIOS. Older systems could not do it from the Windows Operating System. To make a bootable cd you need a floppy, there are usb floppy drives, you may find one at your local Electronics store.

I have written two tutorials on making a boot floppy and making your usb pen/flash drive bootable:
