Question
Hi, I am sure that my D drive (cd rom) works because I use it all the time and it is relatively new. Although I put a cd my brother gave me that has pics on it and it recognizes the cd as being in the drive but nothing shows up in the folder..... the weird thing is, the cd is showing as being fully written..... any ideas?  thanks
btw, he used a mac to copy the pics but i wouldnt think that would matter.... thanks

Answer
The file format for the cd is wrong for a PC:
' he used a mac to copy the pics but i wouldnt think that would matter.'

It does matter when it comes to files, if he created a DVD for a movie or music it would work with your computer, graphics are files, there for it will not read the file structuer on your computer.

How ever there may be a way to get at the graphic files.

You will have to search the internet for a 'Mac file' converter, this is a program that can read the Mac file structure. I haven't worked with Mac's for a long time so this may be a shot in the dark.

Your other cholce is to have him e-mail the graphics to you. The graphics in them self are universal, it is the format of the cd that is causing you problems.
