Question
Hi There,

After about 30minutes of running pc the monitor goes into black and there is no signal to monitor. PC doesn't shutdown.

The dust on fan mounted on RAM has been cleaned. The air flow is good.

Turning off power to PC and waiting for another 1 hour PC starts as usual and again after 30 minutes monitor loses the signal and goes like monitor power supply has been switched off.

What is solution?

Thanks and best regards,

Venkatesh

Answer
Your problem could be the monitor, the video card, or the BIOS settings.

Try this:

Restart the computer, go into the BIOS settings and find the power settings, there should be a setting for time out on the monitor, set it to the highest setting possible or never turn off the monitor. Do the same in the Control Panel, Power Settings.

If you have access to another computer try the monitor on that computer, if it doesn't shut down in a half hour or so then it will be your video card, if it does shut down then you know the monitor is the problem, consider replacing the monitor or having it fixed.
