Question I am forever trying to upgrade my PC to improve performance, but still is very slow and programs take an age to open and close. My system is as follows ECS GeForce6100nm-m motherboard, 3gb Ram, 80gb HDD, 64x2 5800+ (2.9Ghz). I have recently upgraded the processor from 64x2 4000+ (2.0Ghz) but nothing at all has improved. Can you shed some light on why my system is slow?
Answer Could you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "slow", any specific applications having issues? And what is defined as "slow"? (Nothing will be instant, although if we're talking about a few minutes to open some applications, this may indicate a problem).

Are the majority of your performance issues related to internet resources (for example loading vidoes from the internet, downloading files, or online gaming?)?
