Expertise
I can pretty much answer any question related to PC`s. My ratings speak for themselves. All I ask is that you ask the question in English.....I do not understand gibberish and I will ask you to resend the question if I cannot understand it. I will do the best I can answering your questions. I've been working with computers for well over 20 years.

PC hardware--CPU & Motherboard & RAM - My iTouch restarts my PC

Expert: Michael Tedeschi - 10/28/2009

Question
I recently got a new iTouch 3GS and I synced it to my desktop (HP with Windows XP Home Edition) for the first time and everything was fine. As soon as I restored it to my old iTouch's settings, it restarted my computer. Now every time I hook it up to the computer, it makes the sound that tells me that a new device is detected and it restarts. Even if I leave the iTouch plugged in while the computer restarts, it will just go through a continuous loop of restarting. I have tried plugging into my parents Mac Book Pro and it worked fine. I have also tried using different USB cables and nothing is working. I don't know if it is my iTouch or my computer. Can you help?

Thanks

Answer
Try removing all of your USB devices from the device manager

You will need to have a non usb keyboard and mouse plugged in as well

After removing the devices, restart the computer

All of your USB ports should reinitialize

See if that helps the problem.
