Question
I have a Emachine T2824 here.  One day I tried to turn it on and got nothing at all, no sounds or lights.  I didn't revieve a power surge of any kind.  I took the PSU out and it rattled when I shook it, so i put a different one in that was tested good with a PSU tester.  Try to turn it on still no power.  With the old power supply unit that rattled the green light on the mobo didn't light up so I know for a fact that it was bad.  With the new PSU in the green light on the mobo lights up so I know that some type of power is getting through.  Still get no power at all though, don't know what is wrong?  I'm thinking either the mobo itself or possibly the PSU even though it tested fine, any ideas?

Answer
Hi Sam.

When you move the power cables to the mainboard, it is common to also move other components by mistake. Please remove and resite your memory and then  firmly push down any PCI card fitted to your mainboard. Finally, please ensure that if you have two power connectors that both of them ane plugged in.

If none of the above work, please get back to me.

Robert
