Question
Hi.It is about weeks that i'm following for answers to this questions and i didn't find just simple definitions for these components
i just want to know what is ISAPNP Read Data Port and Programmable Interrupt Controller and their functions that are on LPC Controller Interface and LPC Controller Interface itself? thank you

Answer
All of these are pretty complicated components so it's difficult to explain them in a simple way that makes any real sense.
All 3 components you are asking about have to do with the functions of any extra computer components plugged into a computer, either through the USB ports or through the internal add-on slots on the board.

ISAPNP Read Data Port is the computer's internal communications port that controls the installation of Plug n Play devices,
such as USB devices or any other device that Windows automatically detects and installs when they are attached.
Without it properly installed, Plug and Play devices will not install properly.

Programmable Interrupt Controller, or PIC, is the computer device that sets priority levels assigned to interrupt outputs.
What this means is that this is the device that assigns the different importance to computer components for 'interrupting'
the computer's processor for processing power.

Read more on it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programmable_Interrupt_Controller

I cannot find anything online telling me what LPC actually stands for. However, what the LPC Interface Controller is, is
the Intel chipset that controls the function of components connected to the PCI bus, such as Video Cards, Sounds Cards, etc.
