Dear,
Simple question, which is best the Athlon XP 1800+ or Sempron 2600+
Thanks in advance.
Of those two the AMD Athlon XP 1800+ processor is the better one.
It has only a slightly slower speed (1.5GHz versus 1.6GHz), which is not enough that you would even notice.
The main reason it is the better processor is that it has a memory cache (256KB versus 128KB) which allows the processor to store more requests at once and process them together. The Athlon is also better at handling graphics than the Sempron.
