Question
hello sir,i have a pentium III 300MHz computer.each time i start the computer ,it hangs at "CHECKING NVRAM".I have reset the CMOS battery, change a new battery ,check the RAM sticks but it still hangs at "CHECKING NVRAM".
Any help will be most welcomed.
Thanks

Answer
NVRAM is the Non-Volatile RAM, or CMOS. Changing out the battery would have been my first suggestion since it is what keeps your BIOS/CMOS settings in memory.
Since you've done that, and if you are able to, you should restart the computer, then press whichever key gets you into BIOS (often the Delete key). Once in BIOS check the bottom of the screen for an option to set it back to Factory Defaults. Save the BIOS to Factory Defaults and then restart again.
If that does not work let me know and I will do more research on your problem.
