Question QUESTION: i want to get the sims 3 but i went on canyourunit.com and it said that my computer doesn't meet the requirements. i was real excited about the game and i want to get it. it says that my cpu and cpu speed doesn't meet the requirements. i need 2.4GHz for the cpu speed but i only have 2.19GHz. and for the cpu i have 2.20GHz but i need 2.4GHz. i have the inspiration 530 dell desktop and windows vista. i don't know what to buy or do for this problem.
ANSWER: You could probably stay with your processor and just add more RAM and/or add a video card. Your video chipset is probably on the motherboard. You need to go on the Dell site and see if you can find out what kind of video card slot your motherboard has. Let me know what you find out and I will be glad to help you further.

QUESTION: I found out that I have 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz- 2DIMMs and 320GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™ and Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100. I could not find what kind the video card slot is but i hope the information helped try to solve my problem i asked you before.
Answer From that information I can see that you have onboard video so a video card will greatly enhance your ability to play games. We've just got to figure out exactly what model of Inpiron 530 you have. There are many different configurations. Does yours have the Dual Core processor or the Celeron?
From what I can find out you have a PCI Express 2.0 slot. Go to www.tigerdirect.com or www.newegg.com and shop for the cards. You may be able to get one fairly inexpensively. I can guide you through putting it in.
