It looks like people somewhat abandoned floppy nowadays.
I remembered there exists a socket accepting floppy in mainboard.
Mainboards made around these years still have a floppy socket?
Answer hey moil,
yeah they still do. go to the link i'll provide below and look at the top-down view of the motherboard. there is an orange heatsink that says black series on it; to the right and below of that is 3 black pci slots, to the right of the pci slots is a shorter black port with lots of pins. that's the floppy connector. i think it's a 34-pin slot...i could be wrong though, i haven't used one of those in years.
also FYI: the yellow port at the top with pins (40 i believe) is an IDE port, used for hard drives and optical drives, and the orange sockets above the heatsink are SATA (the "new" standard).
