on my system  i have two hard disks. the first one 80gb is been partitioned in c: (10gb) and in d:70gb
the second is g: 120gb.
in c i have the operating system (windows x sp1) and some program me files which has been installed there.
in d: i have photos videos etc.
now c: is full and i can"t download or make any other actions i want.
is there any way to avoid format.
can c: capacity been extended without having any problems or loosing data?
thank you for your time

Answer
Hi John,

You didn't say how much empty space you had on g:>. The obvious answer is to move some of your personal files to g: if you have room.

You also did not say how much empty space you had on c: and d:.  Open your Windows Explorer or My Computer, right click on the different drives and select `properties'.  That will tell you what you have to work with.

Another option is to buy an external hard drive and store some personal files on that.  Also, flash drives are cheap and an excellent way to back up small amounts of important data.

You need to upgrade your Win XP to SP3.
