i kinda confuse in selecting for graphic card or asus nvidia chipset motherboard(p5 n7a vm)..
my sys config is:
P4 3.2GHz
intel D945GTP motherboard..
512mb ddr2 (533Mhz)
i think my fsb is only 1066Mhz :(...
my question are :-
should i go for 9600GT ddr2 (1GB) or 9500GT ddr3(1GB).. i don't know are they compatible with my system or not?
and should i buy asus p5 n7a vm motherboard which has GF 9300GT 512mb graphic card inbuilt..?
(some of my friends suggested for whole system upgrade but then i can't buy any seprate video card)
ANSWER: Honestly, it depends on what you do with your computer and how much money you want to spend.
You have a pretty decent motherboard now and that 9600GT DDR2 actually performs better than the DDR3 card and it is probably less expensive.
Personally, I would keep your motherboard and get the 9600GT card. My only suggestion would be to put the money you save towards more memory, like upgrade from 512MB to at least 1GB of RAM.

QUESTION: yes i also think so .. i will upgrade my ram to 2GB but which one 533Mhz or 667Mhz or 800Mhz and if i choose different frequecy ram will it degrade my system performance ..
also are their any compatibility issue in graphic card ??,, i am not so good with hardware so plz guide ... me to decent graphic card for my sys

Answer That motherboard can't handle anything higher than 667MHz RAM so that is what you should buy. The higher the MHz number, the faster the memory so it's the best choice.
As far as video cards go, you should have no compatibility issues with that 9600GT card and it should be more than capable of handling the games you want to play.
