Question
I have a pc pentium 4  3000mhz with 1024 Ram and XP professorial installed. Problem is when I turn on the pc, it goes up to windows and before welcome to windows it turns off automatically and restart.I tried to reinstall the windows and it goes up to examining Harddrive and hangs on.
I have changed and tried with another hard drive and cable to ensure that hard drive have any problem, but the result is same,So hard drive have no problem. I hope that you will help me to find the problem.Thank you very much in advance.

Answer
hey thsan,

if you've ruled out the hard drive already then i would start looking at ram as the most likely culprit.  if you have 2 ram sticks installed try uninstalling them 1 at a time to see if one works and the other doesn't.  if that doesn't work, or you don't have 2 sticks, try to borrow some ram or get an inexpensive low capacity cheap stick to try.  after that if you still have issues you may want to consider flashing your motherboard bios, but before you do that as the computer is booting press whatever key is necessary to get into the bios settings and reset everything to default.  it's worth a try.
peace,
