PC hardware--CPU & Motherboard & RAM/Pc freezes again & again

Question

My desktop
My PC is configured with Compaq 06c0h with Pentium III 866Mhz with 256sd Ram. I have ess allegro audio system .The problem is that when I enable my audio my PC is not responding and when I disable it my PC working very good. What I will do ?

Answer
First thing I would do is get more RAM.  You only have 256 which is not really sufficient to run Windows.  Get as much as your system will allow if you can afford it.

Also, try to update your sound drivers and hopefully it will make the computer act normally when you enable the sound.
