PC hardware--CPU & Motherboard & RAM - Monitor power light blinking

Expert: Ricardo Agudelo - 9/7/2009

Question
the power light on monitor keep on blinking but nothing show in the monitor. What is wrong & what should I do to fix it? Thank you

Answer
Hi Warm,

Most likely, your computer has not passed the POST, and it is hung in the process. The monitor shows it is in power-save mode, waiting for the CPU to boot up.
Troubleshooting may take some time and effort, you may want to take it to a technician.

Ricardo
