PC hardware--CPU & Motherboard & RAM/usb

I deleted my usb ports driver and I need help getting it back. So, How do I get it back?

Hello Elijah. If you uninstalled the USB ports through the Device Manager, you should be able to simple re-install them by right clicking the devices marked under the Category "Other Devices" and marked with a yellow question mark or yellow exclamation point. Right-clicking this/these, then clicking "Update Driver...". With the new window that appears, click "Install the software automatically (Recommended)" option. It should search the local Windows driver package file and re-install the USB hub/ports communication driver for your computer with absolutely no problems. You may be prompted to restart your computer. If so, restart for the drivers to properly load with the operating system for stable use.

There really isn't any sources online for obtaining these USB drivers because these drivers are already included with the Windows operating system as a standard.

I doubt you'll have trouble, but if for some reason this method does not work, I suggest trying a system restore or a system recovery/repair using the Windows XP installation disk included with your computer. If you don't have one, obtain a general installation disk of Windows XP to access the recovery program built into the disk.

Have a great day!

Many, many years of experience working with the hardware components of many types of computers including desktops, laptops, kiosk computers, and even running Windows 3.1, 95, and 98 on the PSP (Sony PlayStation Portable). I've replaced capacitors on desktop motherboards making them working like new again with a high success rate. This is my hobby/job every day.
