Question
QUESTION: Mike Hi can you please help me, the boot manager on my Dell Dimension E521 won't boot. I tried everything using the Dell internal system. Troubleshooting etc. The only thing that works is
the Dell Operating Disk for Windows XP.
Is there something else I can do, is there a download or
Repair disk.  Please Help Thanks Kenny

ANSWER: You can try some of the steps in the following article that I linked below. However, you might want to see if you have any local computer savvy friends, or maybe a local PC repair shop to take a look at it because you're getting into a fairly technical troubleshooting situation that is easier solved by someone who can actually be at the PC, other than my being able to help.

QUESTION: Mike Hi,. When I try to access the repair console, it asks for the administrator
Password, I have no idea what I would use. Can you help, thanks kenny

ANSWER: You can try leaving it blank or there are ways to try and reset it, like here:

But again, you're getting into troubleshooting issues that are more complex than can be helped with over the internet.

QUESTION: Mike hi, I was able to download the repair console. And it was working great until the end. I got the following error messages.

THE PROCEDURE ENTRY POINT GET REQUESTED RUN TIME VERSION COULD NOT BE LOCATED IN THE DYNAMIC LINK LIBRARY MSCOREE.DLL

# 2 error message

C:\WINDOWS\MICROSOFT.NET\FRAMEWORK\V4.O 30319\MSCORWKS.DLL COULD NOT BE LOADED

IS there A way to repair these errors, is there downloads, can you help

thanks Ken

Answer
Sounds like that computer has some definite issues. There's ways to remove, reinstall, or repair .NET Framework and it's easier to for me to just point you to yet more sites with information than to try to outline it all here.

The last link is to a .NET Framework Repair Tool that might resolve those errors itself.
