PC hardware--CPU & Motherboard & RAM - Operating Temperature

Expert: Rider - 12/30/2007

Question
Self built PC. Intel Celeron D335 2.8 CPU in Lian Li case, all fans working. Abit A17 motherboard. Indicated temperatures are Sys 27 C, PVM 43 C, CPU 53 / 58 C. This is indicated when working on a Word document, Emails etc, Am I right in thinking this temperature is excessive and what suggestions if any. Please answer in simple terms as I am definately no expert. Regards John

Answer
Intel spec's say the normal operating temp is 67*C, with a core voltage of 1.287v to 1.4v.

If your cpu is running at 53 to 58*C then it is with in spec.

Your system board is also with in spec, my ASUS runs at 30*C and I am overcoclking it by 4ghz.

So your motherboard and CPU are getting enough cooling to keep them below manufactures specifications.

Are you having problems with the system locking up or shutting down unexpectedly?
