Question hi i was diagnosed with pcos last year i have always had irregualr periods but since the birth of my child 4 years ago they been worse hence i was diagnosed after ivestigation my question is can u still actually ovulate without having a period for months? like the months i dont have a period am i ovulating then??
Answer My guess is that it is unlikely that you are ovulating the months that you do not have a period. Drops in hormone levels following ovulation is what prompts your uterine lining to shed and start a new cycle. However, that is not fool proof and you can still ovulate unexpectedly so assuming that you are not ovulating is not a good form of birth control if pregnancy is not desired.
