Experience I am a Maiti Specialist (Fiji) and visit the South Pacific Islands at least once a year so my clients and those asking questions get the best first hand information.
Question I'm 32 y/o female who has never married. Instead of waiting for a honeymoon to take my "dream vacation," I've decided to treat myself. My budget is relatively tight so I am planning and saving now with plans to take my trip sometime in 2006.
Any ideas to get me started? (I lived in Guam for a few years and fell in love with the people, culture, weather). I will probably be traveling alone (a girl-friend might join me). I am interested in a place that is merciful on the budget, yet has the accomodations, beauty and charm. Furthermore, I am looking for a place where a single woman won't feel like a leper. Thanks in advance!
Answer In my opinion, you have two options, Fiji or the Cook Islands.
If you liked Guam, you will absolutely love Fiji, both for the natural beauty and the wonderful people.
A little less expensive and much smaller is the Cook Islands.
Check out web sites for both places and then get back to me with specific questions.
