AboutBayley Green Expertise I can answer questions about being a solitary witch, as well as the history of pagan religions and witchcraft, and the teenage perspective. I can also help you learn about a variety of divinitory and magical methods if you want an introduction.
Experience I've been a practicing solitary for almost 2 years now, and have been studying wicca for some years before that in an effort to make my decision. I've also taken a class on paganism, both historical and contemporary, and have informally taught several students. I specifically spend a lot of time with younger students, and so can provide a younger perspective.
Education/Credentials I'm a college student right now at the University of North Carolina: Greensboro.

Question I'm having trouble with some concepts. I am trying to figure out what the difference between all the magickal paths (wicca, pagan, druid, ect.) is. plus some people talk about certain goddesses and gods and how they are all different. When I began magick I tried to learn the difference between the god/ess, but I percieved them as being many but also as being one. I tried to leave magick, but magick wouldn't leave me alone, so I have decided to start again. I'm starting over and trying to decide if I should have the same concept or not. Also, I never chose one certain path of magick and am trying to figure out how to decide. Getting very confused and unsure. Can you help?
Answer Merry meet,
Many practitioners believe just as you do that all goddesses are facets of the same, unknowable entity, the Goddess; similarly, all gods are facets of the same being or font of energy called the God. As far as deciding on a path of magic, ultimately it is up to you - some paths require initiation into a group, and others can be practices as a solitary. I suggest getting some good books from the library or your local bookstore, as I don't have space here to go in detail about the various paths.
Blessed Be,
Bay
