Experience I've been a practicing solitary for almost 2 years now, and have been studying wicca for some years before that in an effort to make my decision. I've also taken a class on paganism, both historical and contemporary, and have informally taught several students. I suggest a trip to your local library or bookstore. There are many great books written for beginners - I suggest trying out two or three, since some details vary from tradition to tradition and it might take a bit to figure out which is the best fit for you. I also suggest looking for a local coven in your area (the internet is a great help here), since many ceremonial covens are very similar to the type of service you'd be used to as a catholic.
