About Labyrinth
Expertise I can answer all questions regarding natural spirituality and being a pagan. Being Wicca, Golden Dawn, Shamanist, whatever...is like saying you're Lutheran or Baptist. They are all forms of paganism and all based on natural spirituality. I am Romani (gypsy) and part Lakota (American Indian) and I was raised in natural spiritualism. I am a life path counselor for my group, a ritualist, and a spell weaver. Most of my work consists of guiding people on how to find spiritual peace in a very chaotic material world. Ask me anything.
Experience Romani and Lakota by blood and raised in the old traditions.

Subject: significance of birds
Question Druing my lifetime, on at least 3 different occasions, birds have literally fallen at my feet from the sky, and I have picked them up, and they have died almost instantaneously. This seems very srange to me. Also, and very significantly, female cardinal recently was discovered dead in the front grillplate (under the hood area) of my car. It was extraordinariy beautiful, its wings still protruding through the grill. For that to have happened, unnoticed, and at that angle (so low to be flying) seems bizarre and as a heralding of some event. At the time this happened, my grown daughter, who has some grave mental and emotional problems, had just committed a strange act of desperate and bizarre behaviour. Yesterday, a tiny hummingbird appeared in my yard (we live in a climate that hummingbirds do not normally come into). It is still there today. Do you think that birds are for me, in some strange and unique way, significant and if so,how?
Answer Bird weirdness is my number one inquiry.
Because of their flight and the appearance that they have access to the heavens, birds have always been looked upon with mystery and awe.
The only birds that have ever really been seen as symbols of anything negative, or seeming negative, is the sparrow. They are often seen as the harbingers of death as they frequently escort souls to the other plane.
If I had birds dropping dead around me I would be reminded of the frailty of life and perhaps tread carefully for awhile...but spread over a long time...perhaps not very very significant.
As for the cardinal and the hummingbird...who normally symbolize dignity and tenacity respectively...I am still reminded of the tenuous nature of life. The cardinal, dead by accident, and the hummingbird, maybe lost..both say be careful with yourself to me. Beware to balance personal caution with fear or paranoia. While there are times when the universe reminds you to look twice before crossing the street because the energy around you is looking for an accident, you must also remember that the street still needs crossing. You can't let fear come into your heart and keep you from living just because the universe warned you to be cautious for awhile.
Have you ever owned a bird? If birds are so attracted to you maybe you should get one...I'd try a medium hook bill to start...cockatiel maybe...he might even just up and tell you what they want.
Luck and Prosperity,
Labyrinth
