I run a Temple, in addition to my "mundane" life working in a hospital and running my own business.I have had 4 years of formal training in one Tradition, and was Initiated as a Green Witch. I've taught classes in MD, DE and PA. I've been contacted on several occasions to act as a Media liason for ABC television and the Sci-Fi Channel in matters of the Wiccan religion and have been featured locally on AM and FM stations, including multiple appearances on 'The Paranormal Cafe.' I run Meeting groups locally for Witches and other Magickal people to meet and greet, and am currently working with friends in MD and DE to build stores to better serve our Community.

I received your answer on YahooAnswers and I have another question for you. I've been looking online for information about spells and many of them are in books I have to order. I do plan on ordering a book, but I want to fully understand Wicca before I do. Such as, I want to understand what I must do for each spell (besides get the ingredients) is there some kind of spell for a beginner? Such as one simple spell, like a protection spell or some sort just so I can fully understand the process in general. I have already looked on many sites and read a lot of information on Wicca so I pretty much got the basics down. And I can be honest and tell you I am not a child looking to make a Harry Potter type magic (I know that's complete fiction). I'm just looking for a religion that best suites me. Thank you.

Good to hear, because Harry Potter is what many people Mistake us for.

A simple beginner spell for protection. Well This one is simple, and can be made as elaborate as you wish.

You visualize three circles of purple light around you. (that's the hard part for many people).

Once you have them, and you KNOW beyond the shadow of doubt that nothing can get in that you don't want inside those purple circles, you say nine times, "thrice around the circle's bound. Evil sink into the ground."

If you're having budget issues, wjy not look for info on books.google.com? You can search for terms like "protection spell" and it will search for books with those words in them. Many occult texts are on Google Books.
