Pagan/Wiccan Religion - amulet

Expert: Rev. Adriana Iris - 10/15/2009

Question
QUESTION: hey i have come across this amulet or somthing and idk wut it means on the front theres a wolf howling at a moon with some stars around it and on the back there is a pentacle please help me thanks

ANSWER:
Hi John!

The significance of the lone wolf howling is a symbol of someone looking for it's pack.
In most instances the main reason a lone wolf will howl at the moon is if becomes lost and can't quite locate its pack. The lone wolf will howl until either it locates its pack or the pack returns to that location. In most instances the wolves are out searching for prey and they may wander off and become separated from the pack. The howl of the wolf keeps the wolves together and serves as a form of social cohesion.

Then five points of the pentacle are usually interpreted as the five factors needed to sustain life; fire, earth, water, air and the spirit. The circle around the outside represents the Goddess and refracts and reflects light, supposedly bringing intelligence, wisdom and protection to the wearer.

So your amulet most likely came from a leader or Pagan practitioner looking for it's pack or coven. And the protection of searching for such.

QUESTION: can this amulet do anything like magical stuff?

ANSWER: No, it can't unless the person knows what it was used for. Or how.
But some have found pieces like yours and they have said that it can bring good luck if used as an amulet.

In love and light,
Adriana

QUESTION: um my friend thats a wiccan doesnt like to be near me when i have possesion of the amulet she says she can see a black ora or somthing is that bad

Answer
Hi Again!
Cleanse the jewelry. Wrap the jewelry for now, in black cloth, during the next full moon dip it in a mixture of salt and water (or sea water or sea salt and water) for these are the best combinations for cleansing. Dip in and out 3 times. Place the jewelry on the cloth to dry and leave it out until morning. Somewhere where the moonlight hits the jewelry. After that your jewelry will be cleansed.
