Pagan/Wiccan Religion - I have a question

Question
My great grandmother that passed away was Romani...
I have been looking for information and such bout this....
The reason I have search for information is because her dying wish was to rejoin the past....
She did not teach my grandmother nor my mother because she said that they would abuse it...
Since my search I have been asked to be taught by a goddess named Hecate....
I have asked some other pagans that I associate but they say that their is a reason....
She (Hecate has given me protection)and has been helping me...

I have reasently change my patheon.
I believe that everything is divine and that I do not worship gods or goddesses though I know they are there and respect them. I will sometime show respect to certain ones because of my heritage. I believe in Shintoism and I use to be an egyptian patheon. I by my fellow pagans is seen as a green witch if you may so my question is should I have Hecate teach me or what?

Also if you know any good books I would love to have any info on Romani

Hecate is an honored member of my own Pantheon...If she is speaking to you I recommend you listen.

Ritual chant I use...

"Hecate, Witch Queen, Goddess of Transformations...(add what you need here)"

Pantheon change as we change...that's okay. God and Goddess have many names and faces to meet your needs. Mix and change what beliefs you follow and rituals you use to make your heart happy.

I have found very few book on the Romani people. The only one I own is about how badly we were persecuted by Hitler...and I can't find it right now to give you the name.
