Question My daughter and I were staying at a Holiday Inn in Wisconsin. I dropped her off at work in the morning and I returned to the hotel. I began to study for an exam that I had later that day when I grew tired and decided to take a short nap. I closed my eyes at 9:30 and right around 10:30 I was waken by the pounce of an animal on my bed. I literally felt his paws walking on the bed and the blanket being tugged down. I felt his breath on my neck and face. He was sniffing me. I felt his fur and instantly I knew it was a wolf, it was salt and pepper in color. Not understanding what was going on I froze I just closed my eyes and he turned around and jumped off the bed, (again I felt his paws on the bed and the blanket being tugged as he walked). He walked around the bed to where my face was at and his nose almost touched mine. Again I could feel his breath and the sound of him sniffing at me. Scared I whipped off the blanket and sat up and I no longer felt his presence. I decided to get up shower and check out. As I reached the front desk to check out, a Native American Indian family was at the desk and the receptionist was helping them with their key cards. Once they left I told the receptionist my story and asked her if any other guest had a similar experience and she no. She did inform me that the Indian family that was just at the desk, were occupying rooms 124 and 126 and I was in room 125. I'm now wondering if they had something to do with the wolf visiting me? The wolf never hurt me or threatened me it just sniffed me. I have never had an experience like this before however, a couple of days prior to this happening I did ask God to direct me in the right direct as far as career choices. Currently I am in school going for an associated degree as an RN. I would just like to make sense of my experience, I'm not sure if the wolf was meant to visit me or if the Indian family had something to do with with it.
Thank you in advance for your response.

Answer Merry Meet Kumby,
Well I seriously doubt that the Native Americans had much to do with your visit from the wolf. Since you had asked for guidance, I believe that this is the reason you were visited. Animal totems are very common, even non believers have totems, they just don't realize it. Just like a friend of mine who collects everything frog! She is totally obsessed by them and one day I told her the meaning of the frog totem and she was blown away. It pretty well described her and things that were going on in her life.
I can tell you that the Wolf totem means the following:
Intuition, Learning, Spirit
This totem brings faithfulness, inner strength
and intuition when he enters our lives.
But he also brings learning to live with one's self.
The wolf teaches us to learn about our inner self
and to find our inner power and strength.
But to achieve this, we must take risks
and face our deepest fears.
A wolf totem demands sincerity.
This totem demands a lot of us
but gives us much in return;
a spirit helper that is always there to help
and gives us extraordinary powers of endurance.
He reminds us to listen to our inner thoughts
and trust our insights.
They remind us not to waste resources and
to learn how to avoid trouble and confrontations.
People with Wolf totems have the capacity to make quick and firm emotional attachments.
Trust your insights about these attachments. Wolf will guide you.
Take control of your life with Wolf’s help and do so with harmony and discipline.
What this means to me regarding your education is that the wolf is there to help you and to point out that you will need inner strength and discipline in order to get through your classes until you get your degree. The wolf reminds us of these things but will always be at your side.
Sometimes our totems appear in the strangest ways and it appears as if this one was not to be ignored by you! I happen to think this is a very fitting one considering your circumstances so look to the wolf should you feel the need for endurance, discipline and to trust yourself for the wolf will be your guardian and take care of you and your needs. Perhaps you can find a small wolf to keep in your purse as a reminder or a pin to wear for it certainly seems the wolf chose you and that is normally how we acquire our totems. We don't choose them, they choose us!
I hope this information was helpful. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! Many blessings,
