I can answer all questions regarding natural spirituality and being a pagan. Being Wicca, Golden Dawn, Shamanist, whatever...is like saying you're Lutheran or Baptist. They are all forms of paganism and all based on natural spirituality. I am Romani (gypsy) and part Lakota (American Indian) and I was raised in natural spiritualism. I am a life path counselor for my group, a ritualist, and a spell weaver. Most of my work consists of guiding people on how to find spiritual peace in a very chaotic material world. Ask me anything.

Experience
Romani and Lakota by blood and raised in the old traditions. High Priestess - Rainbow Moon Clan. Ordained Christian Minister

Question
QUESTION: I have been learning wicca for the past three years and I learned from a professional teacher. So now that I have become interested in learning the Darker arts, I am confused what would be the best way to go about it. Should I search out a teacher or learn via the internet? I am weary about learning things from texts because not everything read is true. What would your advice be..?
Thank you
Ire

ANSWER: My advice is don't study the dark arts...
Due to the nature of the dark arts you cannot trust anyone who uses or teaches them online or in person.
Dark arts magick uses negative energy and manipulative magick.
You are putting your own kharma in jeopardy.

QUESTION: I have been reading about nocturnal witchcraft, and have found it interesting...what would your advice be about that? does it fall into the darker arts category?

Answer
The term is jargon...slang made up by the boys who wrote the book and make people pay for their class.  No one who is a blood born natural witch has a name like Black Serpent Nightshade...its trying too hard.  I was unable to learn much about it without paying...never a good sign.

I can't say whether what they are doing is "dark" magick or not without knowing what it is.  I can give you some details so that as you learn you can decide for yourself.

There are three types of people considered to be "pagans" and one of them isn't really pagan at all.  Satanists...who give us all a bad name...do not worship multiple gods at all, but the Christian devil...therefore they believe in Christ and his Father God making them really screwed up Christians but not pagans at all.

The other two are your classic white witch and black magician. We have all heard of white and black magick.
White magick is done through turning positive energy that is gathered from natural sources, such as rocks and gems, the four elements, animals, plants, etc.  Positive energy turns clockwise and can be used for any positive purpose.
Black magick is also gathered from natural sources but it is also gathered from spirits and it turns counterclockwise.  It's effects are controlling and manipulative and considered negative.
Now a well trained witch can turn positive or negative energy.  In the white craft, where I suggest everyone stay, we do good and positive things.  But once in a while we all get together to curse a rapist or something and that's black magick.

Now black or white comes from the heart of the witch.  What kind of person are you?

An example of the difference.  A white love spell give a person you are interested in a suggestion...a girl may cast a spell on a boy she likes and the spell just makes him notice her, maybe talk to her, gives her a chance to win him over.  But she has to do it, real love can never come from magick.  But a black love spell causes the target to feel compelled to be with someone.  They get love sick.  There lives often fall apart as the spell causes obsessions they can't control and don't understand.  They often know they don't want the person they are obsessed with and just can't help themselves.

As for the concept of nocturnal magick...much of it has always been done at night.  It is nothing new.  Not a unique idea in any way. Midnight has been the witching hour since...well forever.
