I can answer all questions regarding natural spirituality and being a pagan. Being Wicca, Golden Dawn, Shamanist, whatever...is like saying you're Lutheran or Baptist. They are all forms of paganism and all based on natural spirituality. I am Romani (gypsy) and part Lakota (American Indian) and I was raised in natural spiritualism. I am a life path counselor for my group, a ritualist, and a spell weaver. Most of my work consists of guiding people on how to find spiritual peace in a very chaotic material world. Ask me anything.

Pagan/Wiccan Religion - Bird Inside of a Car

Expert: Labyrinth - 6/16/2009

Question
My boss at work was particularly traumatized the other day when she went
out to her car before work in the morning and discovered a bird trapped
inside. She didn't recognize the breed, describing it only as a 'wild bird.' She
freed it and it escaped and she was particularly worried about what kind of
omen that it held for her.  She asked me to see if I could glean from
somewhere what this event could mean.  I'm sorry that the details are lacking,
but any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Wow, that's very interesting.  I have never heard of this before.  Her car was all closed up and there was no way for it to get in??

Birds are messengers for the universe.  Your classic 'wild bird' is usually a sparrow or wren.  These birds are particularly known for escorting spirits.  They accompany new spirits to their mothers and they take old spirits back across to the other side.  They also follow spirits who have business here.
So, since it was just a plain brown 'wild bird' I'd start by thinking about who may be dead that could be thinking about her.  Is it the anniversary of the death of anyone she knows?  That's the most common...
Could she be newly pregnant?  That is also a common time to have these birds attention.
So...past birth and death...is the general message, which is usually a reminder to think about our spiritual paths.  Have there been changes lately that made her think about who she is and where she is going?  Did she follow up on them or just pass them off?  The bird may be a reminder to follow a new spiritual path.

Whatever is was, having a bird this close is a blessing and saving its life was very good.  It would have been a bad omen if it died in there.

Blessed Be, Labyrinth
