AboutBayley Green Expertise I can answer questions about being a solitary witch, as well as the history of pagan religions and witchcraft, and the teenage perspective. I can also help you learn about a variety of divinitory and magical methods if you want an introduction.
Experience I've been a practicing solitary for almost 2 years now, and have been studying wicca for some years before that in an effort to make my decision. I've also taken a class on paganism, both historical and contemporary, and have informally taught several students. I specifically spend a lot of time with younger students, and so can provide a younger perspective.
Education/Credentials I'm a college student right now at the University of North Carolina: Greensboro.
Question hi ya, my names Nikki, im 14, and ive been doing alot of research on wiccan religion and i kinda wanna join it but im scared about what people will say, i dont know anyone that knows anything about it.I havent said anything to my mom, we went to a Renaissance store and i like fell in love with everything it was crazy. My moms nondenominational and my dad is Catholic, but we dont go to church, i sometimes go with my friends, but when i do, i have like no idea what they're talking about and i feel like left out, i feel closer to the wiccan religion, i dont know why but it just interest me. I believe in god and everything but i also believe in the gods and goddesses, i know alot of things about them. and i dont know alot about if your a pagan or wiccan that you just believe in one god or goddess, but ive been looking up to Luna/Selene. I just want answers to what i can do and id really appreciate it, thank you so much and im sorry i wrote alot

Answer Merry meet,
Honestly, the choice of religions is such a personal choice that all I can suggest is that you do what you feel is right. I suggest doing more research, however; Wicca is a very different religion than Christianity, and you might find a lot of thing surprise you. Furthermore, if you do choose to remain in your family's tradition, Christianity is far from incompatible with the Renaissance and Renaissance-inspired goods!
